COLORS

Concrete Interiors offers a full range of shades that are earthy and natural to casts that are vibrant and lively.

We currently offer over 150 colors. Custom colors and color matching are available upon request, for an additional fee.

We use iron oxide pigments and they are integral throughout each piece. Iron oxide pigments are colorfast and won’t fade with exposure to the sun.

Colors and edge details play a big part in the look and design you are trying to achieve. We help you find that look and work with you to provide a unique item for your home or business. We currently offer nine different edge details and can create custom edges if needed.

FINISHES

Hand Steel Trowel: Many of our projects are finished with our "Signature" look, steel trowel finish, using our traditional mix. This gives each top surface a unique, beautiful mottled look. Though the surface is smooth, it looks like it has movement; this is caused by the burnishing of the trowel as the concrete is drying. The artist that works on your piece can provide a heavy or lighter burnish depending on your desire. Each piece is one of kind, which means that your final project will also be one of kind.

Reverse: This look is achieved from casting your concrete project into a mold or form face side down. The final result is rich with color and depth. One can also choose to sand a layer off and reveal the embedded sands and different aggregates that make up the core of the concrete. The sanded surface of our EarthMate mix is exceptionally unique in exposing a vast palette of colors and shapes of its recycled content.

Hand Pressed: A unique process of hand placing the concrete mix into a mold or form face side down. What makes this process different from our traditional look is that the mix is much stiffer and does not flow into the forms, it is placed by hand, in amounts approx. 1 cubic inch at a time, one next to the other with the skill to encourage slight voids between each placement.

After proper curing time, the project is un-molded and lightly sanded. At this point, the voids are filled with colored cement to either match or compliment the base concrete color. The end result is a uniquely beautiful mosaic of color and interest. One may chose their own color combination to make this product completely unique.

We use this technique for many fireplace surrounds, larger edge details, specifically outdoor kitchens, wall caps, fire pits and pedestals.

VISION: The VISION series is a culmination of materials with previous lives, such as amber beer bottles, tinted plate glass, mirrors, traffic signal lenses, and the list goes on of materials that normally end up in our landfill.

The recycled glass with differing colors and sizes are combined with a cement binder and placed into a form or mold face side down. After proper curing time the Vision is exposed through honing and polishing to a mirror finish.

The end result will leave you in awe of what were once just items destined for landfill and have now become one of the most talked about choices for countertops. You can choose from our existing color palette or customize your own.
